LISTEN TO THE MUSIC!

New Orleans is made of music.  One visit to the city and you cannot escape it, it is in the air.  The history of the city is found in the many musicians and songs that have come out of here, and there are many.  To help navigate the incredible choices we asked those that know best for a Music 101 list.  See below for the list of recommendations and then go buy it from a local music store in New Orleans (also noted in the resource list).

NEW ORLEANS REALITY TRIP IDEAS

 

To better understand what happened to New Orleans after Katrina and what the current situation is we highly recommend seeing it for yourself.  During our short visits to New Orleans we have learned a lot  and, more importantly, we know how better to help the communities of this great city.  If you or your band would like to do the same please let us know and we can help to coordinate.

Voluntourism

Voluntourism combines traditional travel/tourism with volunteer work. Travelers are given opportunities to contribute money and/or time to causes related to their destinations. Volunteer opportunities may include community development work such as building, painting, teaching skills and conservation.
