From now until August 15th, Rock The Vote and MySpace will be holding a competition to promote voter registration among MySpace registered bands. Bands that make the cut will also have a chance to compete for placement on a playlist and open for top talent at DNC and RNC events. More details here.

According to Advertising Age's recent story, MTV to Rock the Vote, Will Now Accept Political Ads, Viacom MTV Networks channel will now accept political ads from the candidates.
